St. Thomas Federal Credit Union (STTFCU) is proud to support the next generation of Virgin Islands leaders through the STTFCU 2026 Scholarship Program. This year, STTFCU will award one-time scholarships to three students who plan to enroll in higher education as full-time students in 2026.
Scholarships will be awarded in three categories:
- $2,000 for students attending the University of the Virgin Islands
- $3,000 for students attending an off-island on-campus career technical school
- $5,000 for students attending an off-island on-campus college or university
To be eligible, applicants must be a high school senior graduating in 2026, reside in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and have a parent or legal guardian who is an active STTFCU member in good standing. GPA requirements apply, and applicants must have no criminal record.
Applicants are also required to submit an essay (300–500 words) on: “How Financial Literacy Can Strengthen the U.S. Virgin Islands Community?”
The full application package must include a typed application form, official transcript, three letters of reference, acceptance letter, proof of community involvement, and more. Selected applicants will also participate in a panel interview.
The application period is February 1 through April 15, 2026, and completed packages must be submitted as one PDF document to: scholarship@sttfcu.net.
